COVID-19 Individual, Group and Life Insurance Relief Measures:

A number of relief measures have been recently introduced for customers who have individual insurance and critical illness policies, as well as businesses and plan members who have group benefits coverage.

Life & Critical Illness Insurance Policies:

The grace period for premium payments on life and critical illness insurance policies have been extended to 60 days until further notice for one monthly or one annual premium payment for individual life and critical illness policy owners who request it.

Group Insurance Policies:

The grace period for premium payments on our group benefits plans have also been extended from 30-60 days. Additionally, Empire Life is waiving their standard requirements for the minimum number of hours employees must work to be eligible for benefits. Premium reductions for dental and supplementary health insurance:

  • 50% reduction on the April dental insurance premium
  • 10% reduction on the April Supplementary Health Insurance (AMC) premium
